Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school where most of my students struggle in and out of the classroom. This year due to Covid-19 a lot of students are learning remotely. In the last few weeks I’ve seen these students talk about being resilient and what they did to be able to create a learning space at home.

My Project

While most of us are home working remotely, we still have to give assessments. These assessments are given solely for the purpose of supporting our students in reading. Since this website is shared by other staff members, it’s up to me to print out these assessments so that I can check for their understanding remotely. I have about 30 students and each student's assessment can be about 10 pages long. By printing out these assessments I can see where each student needs help and group them into reading groups remotely.
