Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are amongst the smallest group of students. Most have never attended school. They are inquisitive and want to try to know and learn about everything. Our goal is to create a positive experience to help build a foundation for these future students. A foundation that is fun and productive.

The hoops and balls will be used to help students develop their gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination during Outdoor Learning Time.

Students will learn about basketball, catching, throwing, keeping their eye on the ball, bouncing, and more importantly - teamwork. Students will use the hoops and balls during our rotations. Basketball not only builds gross motor skills but also life lessons, such as determination, patience, health and fitness, and emotional/mental stability.
