Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a PreK-12th grade dual language immersion program located in Southwest Detroit. Every fall our school has anywhere between 5-8 different soccer teams taking over the city park right across from our high school campus. This means that anywhere between 75-120 students are engaged in physical activity after school hours. While the park across the street from our campus has various baseball/softball diamonds, we unfortunately do not have soccer goals. Instead, we use student backpacks as make-shift goals during practice.

Please help give our students goals so us coaches don't have to keep guessing if a ball would've hit a post or not.

But most importantly, please help our students have the different sized soccer goal equipment they need to continue improving their game.
