Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year is our fourth year at Franklin Middle School.

My students are in a Moderate to Severe Special Day Classroom.

All of them either have Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Down syndrome, and multiple other disabilities.

They come from an extremely low-socioeconomic background and many of them have little to no technology at home. We are an inner-city school with an amazing faculty and fantastic students. We do the best with what we have and work really hard to accomplish big goals.

My Project

Thanks to many of you my classroom has received so much technology! My students went way past my expectations and have been doing so well. Currently, I was able to acquire Chromebooks for every student in my classroom.

The majority of the time spent in the classroom is working on Chromebooks.

My students need a visual aid to follow along with instructions. To be able to meet all the technological needs for my Science and Math classes. I am seeking to acquire a Pixelbook for the classroom. This will be used during direct instruction in the classroom. Many of my students need step by step instructions and require a visual aid to do so. The Pixelbook will assist my students for many years to come.
