My Students

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we are no longer in school and have switched over to remote learning. My first weeks into remote learning was making sure all my students and students with-in the school community and families were able to access google classroom and various other distance learning platforms our students would need. In addition to this I have been working with some of my students with distance learning programs that I have given myself and students remote/digital access.

My students are students with disabilities who are reading below grade level and have been working really hard to over come them.

I have noticed that many of them are very receptive to the remote learning style. It allows for more 1 to 1 support time when necessary and allows them to work at their own pace through out the day. I am so pleased with their level of engagement and participation and would love to keep them going.

My Project

As a special education teacher I have seen how remote learning has impacted some of the students positively. I would love to continue to provide engaging learning experiences that will help them to develop academically. I would like to purchase google distance learning activities from Teachers pay Teachers that have been created by teachers around the world.

My students says they prefer google forms as they are easier to answer and submit, (Information taken from a form on how they prefer assignments).

It takes a lot of time and effort for me to convert PDF's I have been given to support the students into accessible files in which they can complete. I spend many hours on the computer trying to create engaging froms, slides and lessons, which has caused me headaches and eye aches daily. I would appreciate any help in making this easier for myself and my students.
