My Students

As an English as a New Language teacher I am fortunate to teach our youngest kindergarten and 1st grade learners. They are experiencing school for the first time and it is amazing to watch the children learn and grow on a daily basis.

My students come from a variety of diverse backgrounds and are excited to learn each day.

My Project

My kindergarten and first grade New York City public school students love recess, as they get to run and play outside. However, the winter season in New York can bring frigid cold and snowy weather. On these days, the children have to remain indoors for recess and watch a movie in the auditorium.

Children will be thrilled to have their own personal goody bags for recess, which will be filled with stickers, crayons, coloring books, and a sketch book.

The students will be entertained as they sketch, color, and create during their recess time.
