This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What makes my kindergarten class so special is the eagerness for learning. Many come from underprivileged homes where parents work long hours and spend less time with their children.
My kindergartners are creative, energetic, and motivated to learn.
Some of the students need special services to boost their learning; as we all know, every child learns differently. Some require speech, impairment equipment, and physical therapy.
My Project
Kindergarteners need manipulatives, such as a tub of 3D shapes, to improve their math skills. It provides a clear understanding of size, shape and depth.
The colorful wobble stools will be used during guided reading in small groups.
The stools will match perfectly with the kidney table received from DonorsChoose.org last year. Students will sit in a private area where learning is safe and exciting. The colorful wobble stools invite students for an adventurous reading time.
The magnetic folder bins keep students records and paperwork organized. The magnetic shelves make it handy to reach for any needed information.
These supplies not only maintain the students attention, but help them academically.
