My Students

I teach 3rd and 4th grade special education in Norfolk, VA.

My students live in an urban area and typically come from low socio-economic backgrounds.

My students work hard to overcome obstacles every day, but they push through and always persevere. I am so proud of their hard work and the progress they make.

My Project

This project will help our class get snacks to take home for summer break. In the past some parents have donated summer snacks or I have provided all of them. This year I am looking for donations to this project, so that I don't have to keep asking parents for snacks when they may already be struggling to put meals on the table.

My students and their families deserve to have access to food.

Many of my students come from low-income families and rely on the school to provide meals. This box will allow students to have guaranteed food at home.
