Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

When you think about students who strongly desire to be the best, think about my students. They are inspiring individuals who come from places that aren't always ideal. Adversity is the foundation of the life they stand on, but they persevere.

Our students struggle with poverty, homelessness, employment, transportation, and language barriers, but despite all of this, they show up to school.

After some research, I found that mints and lollipops have been proven to help children build stamina to learn in the classroom. I will use the mints to help them get through smaller assignments, and the lollipops will help them get through longer assessments in class.
