Help Mrs. Atkins

I teach visual art to grades K-5. I currently have no art budget for supplies. My students are very excited about art. They are always willing to learn and try new techniques and mediums.

With my current art budget being $0.00 it makes it very difficult to expose my students to new procedures. It also makes it very hard to keep my art program going. Unfortunately in art our supplies are consumable. We have to reload our art room every year. A lot of my supplies are becoming scarce.

I would like to introduce and teach a unit on Georgia O'Keeffe. She was one of the few American women artists that chose to become a visual artist when it was only acceptable to teach art. In order to teach a unit on this amazing artist, I will need chalk pastels, glitter glue, and glitter paint for the students to create large beautiful flowers in O'Keefe's style.

You will make it possible for my students to develop skills necessary for understanding and applying additional art media, as well as trying a new technique. My students want to learn and experience new things. Please help me to continue to do this.
