My Students

My students are Autistic from various cultures and backgrounds that love to engage in STEAM learning activities. They continue to discover a love of science, mathematics, and technology. I call them the “Good Doctors” because they are constantly asking questions.

They are currently engaged in learning math, science, and technology.

They continue to amaze me on a day-to-day basis because they use a form of disciplined questioning that is used to pursue, though in many directions, and for many purposes, that includes exploring complex ideas to get to the truth of things verbally or through the use of technology. These students don’t always take my word for it! They are researchers!

My Project

The use of technology is about collaborating with others, solving complex problems, critical thinking and developing different forms of communication and leadership skills, while improving motivation towards the STEAM curriculum. The computers will be used for science, math, and engineering design activities.

It's already important to acknowledge that students are interested and engaged in using technology.

Technology creates opportunities for students when STEAM activities are integrated in the form of technology. We currently are using 4 computers, which limits students' success while doing projects. It takes them longer to complete assignments. More computers will give them an opportunity to complete assignments and projects in a timely manner.
