My Students
My school sits in the middle of a low-income neighborhood in Florida. Close to 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches and about twenty percent of students live in one of the four shelters around our school. Our school does an excellent job of helping those students fit in even though the mobility rate is very high.
I believe every child can achieve the impossible.
My students have big dreams, and I try every day to help them get closer to achieving them.
My Project
Currently, the school days have been long and difficult, mainly because of the toll the pandemic has taken on my students and their families. Having cleaning supplies to clean their learning area daily is a must. Even though here masks are an option, most students still choose to wear them, however, at times they break or they may forget their mask. Having a supply in the classroom will be very helpful. Also, throughout the day, my students get hungry because they eat lunch at 10:30 am and get out of school at 3:05 pm. That's a long time in between without anything to eat. That is where the snacks come into play. I hope these items can make their days a little easier.
