Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I created this project to improve my classroom environment for my students. The florescent lights that we currently have are harsh and the students often complain that they hurt their eyes. I have lamps in the corners of my room, but they don't give off enough light for us to rely solely on them. The florescent light covers I requested will help mitigate the harshness of the lights, while still giving us enough light to work with.

The rope lights will be used to go around my whiteboards and make things more visible for my students.

The USB charging ports will allow me to upgrade my phone check in wall pockets and encourage my more stubborn students to check in their phone, if it means a chance to re-charge it.

Overall, these small things will make a big difference in helping to create a welcoming environment, fostering a laid back vibe that will result in better attitudes and more productivity from my students.
