Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching and one of the reasons that I decided to become an English teacher was because I grew up with a love of reading. Reading books not only helped me improve my vocabulary and my comprehension skills but it also helped me explore new worlds using my imagination and learn about lives that were different than my own. By helping me fund this library and provide for my students, you're allowing them to have the same opportunity.

With this library, I can provide my students access to both classic novels and diverse books that represent both their identities and their interests.

Research also shows that reading everyday has numerous benefits such as improving focus and concentration skills, as well as critical thinking skills. Both my students and I thank you for your support.
