My Project
My students are such a great group of kids. They are kind, helpful, encouraging to each other, and hard workers. When they make good choices, they can earn Mrs. Smith dollars. They can use their "money" to purchase items in our classroom store.
This has been and continues to be a favorite activity of my students throughout the years because it encourages good behavior by giving them positive incentives as well as incorporating math by counting money, finding change, and understanding how to make purchases.
This grant will help purchase more items in my classroom store that is of high interest for my students such as pencils, stickers, candy, and other fun toys. I can't wait to see the look on their faces when we do our last store in a few weeks!
