My students need experience with solar, wind, and electricity, to learn about sustainability. We need manipulatives that capture the creative solutions.

My Students

"Hitch your wagon to a star" Ralph Waldo Emerson. 5th-graders are so curious about the world around them! Our morning starts out with, "Is it science day? or Garden day?" Then, "Yay, it is!" My students want to solve complex problems. Solar/wind energy is doable for these kids. Please make it happen

We live in a very rural part of the United States.

Many of our students have two languages, and come from even more rural communities. All of my students are eager to learn about the world around them and contribute back to the community. Over 92% get free and reduced lunches. Many are learning English and math for the first time.

My Project

We want to build windmills and test the lift power. Our students want to create blades and test out their ideas. They are curious about solar power and electricity, and want to build their own projects. We need kits for magnets and hands on things that can build students creativity and maintain curiosity. We want to use journals to build our students observational skills and communication skills.

Any donation, will thrill the minds of my students.

They will be very excited to be able to explore the technologies and make creative solutions to problems. Make it happen for them, and they will like science, math, and writing!
