My Students

I’m a speech therapist at an elementary school. The student population is a mix of Asian and Hispanic children. Many of them come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and many are satellite babies. My students often don’t have a lot of exposure to the outside world. Their parents work hard and don’t have time to take them to places. Their vocabulary is limited. My job is to help with their expressive and receptive language skills. These are very respectful and hard-working children who deserve the best we can offer.

My Project

I am requesting digital subscriptions to super duper and SLP toolkit. These digital subscriptions will provide my students with speech and language games and materials to help them with their receptive and expressive language delays. Going remote requires materials that I never needed before. Even if school is open, many of the parents in my school are fearful and will likely opt for remote learning. The SLP toolkit subscription will help me assess their needs, and take notes and keep data on each individual student. Any donation, big or small is appreciated!
