This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students love to lead and learn in the classroom. They are eager to take on new and exciting challenges that will prepare them for their future careers and college.
All of the students in my school receive free breakfast and lunch.
I serve students from very diverse backgrounds. Some students in my class speak English as a second language. I have other students who have very limited resources outside of the classroom. Even with the challenges that some students face, they are all eager to lead discussions and dig into learning each school day.
My Project
The boogie boards would be a great addition to my classroom. The students use dry erase boards each day to practice math, grammar, spelling, and handwriting.
Dry erase markers are expensive and dry out quickly in the classroom.
The addition of boogie boards would eliminate the need for markers and save money for purchasing other supplies needed in the classroom. It would be awesome for the students to be able to use these each day and never need to search for a marker, eraser, or something to clean the board with during our lessons. It is a great way for our classroom to start going green.
