My Project
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, as always, the main goal is being ready with school supplies, school clothes, and the mindset to tackle yet another great academic year.
My students attend school in an urban area.
They face issues outside of the school environment such as homelessness, little to no food, inconsistent power sources, being transients, and so much more. My main goal each and every year is for these supplies to alleviate the financial burden on parents and to ensure that our classroom is well-equipped with enough supplies for all students, especially those unable to afford them. One of the key challenges our students face is the lack of basic supplies such as paper and pencils. By providing these essential items, we can eliminate the burden of not being prepared for class, allowing our students to focus on their learning and development. I am asking for these items in addition to glue sticks to keep math and science journals neat to help students be successful in both subjects. Additionally, maintaining a clean and healthy classroom environment is crucial for the well-being of our students. Facial tissues and soap will help keep our classroom germ-free, reducing the spread of illnesses and ensuring that our students can attend school regularly.
