My Students
My students are an energetic group of learners. They come to school excited to learn, discover, and explore. We are a neighborhood school with a diverse population of students. The parents, teachers, and school community are dedicated to making sure my students have everything they need to meet the common core standards and more.
My students love their outdoor time and this is an important component of our day.
This gives them a time to get some of their wiggles out to help them be more successful in the classroom
My Project
My students love riding their tricycles on the yard. It helps them with their gross motor, cognitive and social skills. Unfortunately our school does not have the funds to purchase new tricycles for our kindergarten. Studies show that active students encourage active minds and what a better way than riding a tricycle!
Physical activity is an important part of a kindergartners day.
The new tricycles will help the students with their gross motor skills as well as their social skills by learning to share and take turns. When the students have a chance to move, they come back into the classroom ready to learn.
