My Students

I teach first graders in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma. My students are bright, curious, and eager to become life-long learners. Although many of them face struggles and challenges at home, they come to school each day with a positive attitude and ready to explore.

My students may not be exposed to a variety of opportunities outside of school, so any and all experiences they can gain during class time are extremely valuable.

They are hungry for knowledge and they love to work together to solve problems. My students are truly amazing people, and I love the classroom family we have built.

My Project

My students have never lived in a world without technology. They are actively engaged any time technology is used in our classroom.

The addition of a Chromebook to our learning centers will allow my students to practice letters, letter sounds, numbers, and math facts while playing on this Chromebook.

They will also begin typing lessons to ensure that they are prepared for the implementation of computerized testing in their futures.

This Chromebook will also allow my students to access our Wonders reading curriculum. They can practice reading and oral language skills individually or with a partner. These activities will assist my students in becoming self-sufficient learners, which will prepare them for the technological advancement of our world.
