My Students
My school is in a small, rural community. A lot of my 5th grade students come from low-income homes. Over 75% of the school population receives free or reduced-price lunch. Despite the poverty level of most of my students, they are always eager to try new ideas and want to have fun in math.
My Project
For this project I am requesting a glue bottle to refill our small glue bottles and I am also requesting glue sticks. We go through glue sticks like candy, I'm not sure if my students are using the glue sticks for our class work, wasting it, or eating it.
We need new glue sticks and glue bottles every other day.
We do a lot of gluing in 5th grade, even though you wouldn't think that-- we do a lot of project based and hands-on learning. It also helps my student with their dexterity.
My students will definitely be able to complete required assignments by having the necessary glue. With your support my students will be able to color, cut, sort and glue. Thank you so much!
