This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a small, public arts high school on the Lower East Side of New York City. Our students can major in dance, drama, music, and of course, art. Currently the only place our students display their talents is in their art classrooms, during their showcases, and on one bulletin board. However, the hallways of our school should reflect the amazing work that our scholars do daily.

The Glow Up Squad's mission is to adorn the school with murals and art that reflect their experiences and expertise.

We want our school to be as vibrant as the students who come here. Please help us accomplish our goal by donating so we can purchase art supplies, such as paint, paint brushes, and other materials to create our murals, and turn our school around!
