My Project

Glover Gardens LLC is a local organization that provides online garden workshops about building garden beds and growing food in an urban setting. It was founded by a local graduate who has dedicated her life to passing on critical knowledge for sustained environmental stewardship and self-sustained growing of healthy foods.

Help us purchase 3 virtual workshop classes from Glover Gardens LLC so we can learn better ways to grow in and care for our school garden.

Glover Gardens offers a variety of workshops that will teach us explores heat-tolerant crops, watering and moisture techniques, and companion planting for natural pest control for the summer. They have a beginning of fall course that will help us with seasonal planting, soil preparation, health and maintenance, and companion planting techniques. The final workshop is called Garden Rest and Intentions Workshop, and it focuses on winter garden preparation, including cover cropping and the benefits of companion planting for soil health. Glover Gardens will also bring some much needed knowledge, know-how and support to our school garden throughout the year with these virtual workshops. They'll also send us seedlings and plants for the life of the garden. Additionally they have online workshops that show gardeners how to prep and cook the food they grow. So it's a perfect match that will ensure the continued development and growth of this amazing teaching space on our school campus
