My Project

In our rural Alaskan school, students often have never really interacted with some physical media like kids in past generations did. With a focus on technology, media like maps, globes, and atlases are rarely used in teaching. I believe that these tools can help students engage with and understand the world around them in ways that technology can't duplicate. With your support, I aim to bring globes into our classroom to help students appreciate the value of physical media in learning.

These globes will serve as essential tools for teaching both U.S.

History and World Geography. They will allow students to visualize the connections between places, understand the relationships between geography and history, and develop a deeper appreciation for how the world works.

For many of my students, these globes will provide their first opportunity to explore the world in a tangible way, sparking curiosity and expanding their horizons beyond the borders of our small community. Your generosity will help open up a world of possibilities for these young learners. Thank you for helping us bring the world to our classroom!
