My Students

Providing students with the best opportunity to succeed is very important to me. My second graders are full of energy and the desire to learn. It is my hope to give them the opportunity to do both. With the help of these standing desks they can focus their energy on learning instead of sitting still

My students come from homes that are struggling to provide what they need for themselves and their children.

Often students come to school without eating, without clean clothes, or without sleep. My goal is to provide them with the things I can at school in order for them to be successful. Our school is constantly looking for ways to better these students' lives. I know that they can be successful, they are just missing a few things in order to get them there. I feel responsible as their teacher and someone who truly loves them to provide them with what I can to help them live a healthier and happier life.

My Project

I am asking for the donation of standing desks with a fidget foot bar. I feel as if the students would benefit from these because several students struggle with the ability to focus because they are constantly fidgeting in their chair. I allow my students to stand at their seat, however when they are doing their work they are hunched over their desk and straining their bodies. I know they would be so excited and grateful to have the opportunity to have the standing desks as an option to help maintain their focus.

Expectations of sitting in one place can be rather difficult for some students.

I know that the standing desks with fidget bar would help students do a better job focusing on their work rather than staying still in their seat. My students and I would be so grateful for the opportunity to give them another option to be most successful in the classroom and in doing their work. Thank you in advance for considering our project.
