My Project

I am a first year Kindergarten teacher at a school where our students are first generation Americans. As an immigrant myself, working at this school has helped me learn more about these students and their cultures as well as how to help them succeed. Many of my students have never been exposed to a learning environment such as a daycare or a preschool. That is why I decided to add the chairs as well as the cushions to my cart. I believe these two items will be able to aid my students in choosing a flexible seat in order to concentrate.

I also added pencils and glue to my cart because as we all know kindergarteners will be cutting, gluing and learning how to write all throughout the year.

Another Item I added that I think will be extremely important in my classroom is headphones. Since we live in a digital world, many schools such as ours use Chromebooks almost half of the time during the day. The last item I added is cleaning wipes. This item is also extremely important because I believe our students can thrive better in a clean environment.
