Giving Equity to Students with a Digital Voice

Help me give my students an increased collaborative learning opportunity and supply digital education tools, these iPads will ensure that all students have modern and up to date technology to support their academic performance in the classroom.

My Project

We must continue bridging the access gap when referencing technology in classrooms, providing devices like updated iPads in the classroom, you can give all students equal access to digital resources, regardless of their home circumstances. This ensures that no student is left behind because of a lack of personal technology.

Students in my classroom need up to date technology, which can create fluid opportunities when it comes to completing assignments, engaging with digital content, or practicing digital literacy.

With more technology in the classroom, all students will have access to tools that can help them grow in decoding, phonological awareness, and typing skills.

This can also help me with supporting students in personalized learning. Technology allows for individualized learning, we use a reading platform by Curriculum Associates which is amazing, but students are able to maximize the platform due to outdated technology. With updated software that adapt to each student’s pace, technology these iPads will allow me to provide personalized instruction, targeted support or challenging enrichment, so I am able to meet the needs of each student. This is especially crucial for students with learning differences, language barriers, or those who need additional support.

Many of my students have different learning styles and needs. Technology such as educational apps like iReady and DreamBox can be tailored to each student’s individual level, providing differentiated instruction. This allows each student to progress at their own pace and feel confident in their learning, all while I am able to zoom in monitor data and adjust my instruction to best support students as they navigate their education with the help of technology through targeted learning.
