My Project

Our students thrive when given opportunities for sensory-rich experiences that support their unique learning needs. Many of our students have autism and require vestibular input to regulate their sensory systems, improve focus, and enhance engagement in learning. We are seeking funding for a Whirl and Twirl Playground Spinner, which will provide a safe and enjoyable way for our students with severe disabilities to receive essential movement input. This equipment will help them develop better body awareness, self-regulation, and social interaction skills as they take turns and spin together. Our goal is to create an inclusive and stimulating outdoor environment where students can explore movement in a way that supports their cognitive and emotional development. Each of our students brings a unique perspective and incredible potential, and this spinner will give them an opportunity to access learning in a way that meets their individual sensory needs while fostering joy and independence.
