My Project

In our living systems science unit, students learn about organisms and ecosystems around them. Although the science kit explains the phenomena of the butterfly life cycle, it does not include butterflies for the students to observe and explore. I would like to have this butterfly habitat for my classroom so that my students can observe their butterflies and fully engage in the science of the butterfly life cycle.

I believe science is powerful when students can make real-life observations.

This butterfly habitat will help my students pursue their inquiries about how a butterfly changes throughout its life cycle and explore how butterflies benefit their ecosystem.
