Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will help us as we work to promote literacy and a love for reading among our high school students, we want to extend these benefits beyond the classroom. While it is great to see the students reading in their classes and carrying books around the school building, we are hoping to create a library of books that students can use beyond the school walls.

Funding for this project will give our students access to books they can take home to read to younger family members.

There would be nothing better than hearing stories from our students about how their siblings or cousins enjoyed the books they were able to take home and read to them.

Providing books to our students that they can read to family members can encourage families to spend time together. It can also greatly improve the reading abilities of our students, a life skill they can benefit from forever!
