My Students

As the Computer/Technology teacher, I am lucky enough to work with every single student on our campus.

The 960 students I work with, are so wonderfully different.

They come from various economic and academic backgrounds. Additionally, we have many students who are English Language Learners, as well as many who are Gifted and Talented. What I notice most about these students; however, is that they are ALL inquisitive and creative in their own way. In the computer lab, I am able to nurture many of those individualized needs.

My Project

Students need multiple opportunities to explore and excel, not only in traditional subjects, but in STEM as well. We have been fortunate enough to have purchased robotics kits for all our students, K-6, to use. Unfortunately, they require many batteries to keep running. Batteries are expensive and are consumable.

These batteries will give life to our robots and keep them moving for years to come.

The students are excited to get started building various types of robots and exploring the functions of the different components.

Having batteries that are rechargeable and a charging station will get these robots moving. These students' imaginations are ready to put these batteries to use.
