This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in the South Bronx with students in need of financial support who deserve a happy and warm winter. Nearly all of my students are from low-income households who often struggle to make ends meet, making the winter a difficult time. Every child deserves the necessary clothing to keep them warm during the colder months, and I am hoping to make that happen for each and every one of my students.
The students in my school need coats, hoodies, hats, and close-toed shoes to keep warm on their way to and from school.
These items will be given to my students to help keep them warm and happy all winter and increase the likelihood they will make the trek to school during the coldest months of the year. Help me ensure that my students have what they need to stay warm and healthy this winter. Thank you!
