My Project

An iPad will be a crucial tool to help me expand my students' lexicons to assist them with accessing school curriculum and manipulating their environment socially, emotionally, and physically. It will also allow me to teach them pre-literacy skills such as letter identification and sound-letter correspondence.

Having an iPad will allow me to download communication applications to help my nonverbal students speak.

I will teach them how to use the applications to help them express their wants and needs for functional daily living. For example, if they need to use the bathroom, if they're hurt, if they're hungry etc.

I am confident that having an iPad in my classroom will motivate my students to engage more with me, their teachers, and their peers. I am hopeful that they will respond positively to this instruction so they may reach their goals! Help me give my students a louder voice so they may thrive and become more independent learners and communicators. Let them be heard!
