Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in the South Bronx with students in need of financial support who deserve a happy and full holiday season. Nearly all of my students are from low-income households who often struggle to make ends meet, making the holidays a stressful time. Every child deserves holiday season full of cheer and happiness and I am hoping to make that happen for each and every one of my students.

The young girls in my school love fidget toys, stickers, stuffed animals, and self-care accessories that help them feel pampered, beautiful and taken care of.

These simple, small items can be arranged into gift baskets for each student and will give them the feeling of being loved, thought of, and cared for that they need. Help me ensure that their holiday experience remains cheerful, stress-free and childlike. Thank you!
