Give My Pre-K Students The Best First Year Of School!
Help me give my students a wonderful first year of school! My students are coming out of an unprecedented year, like most, many never experiencing school! These materials will help my students adjust and love school!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come in at just 3 and 4 years of age, at the beginning of the school year. I teach Pre-K at a title 1 school in the South Bronx. My students are loving, engaging and deserve an amazing first year of school.
Our principal, the teachers, and the entire school community have turned our school from a "failing" school into a school on the rise.
Many of my our students come from incredibly challenging homes. One hundred percent of the school receives free lunch, and many of our students live in homeless shelters, foster homes, etc. Our school runs a food pantry for our families and also provides many students with backpacks filled with supplies. Despite these challenges, my students love to learn. This year is coming back to school will be challenging enough for our students, help us fund these materials so we can make this school year as great as we can!
My Project
Like most students this year, we are coming out of a very unprecedented school year. For most of my students, this will be their first year of school. They have never been away from their families and are coming into a brand new school building with new people! I want my students to have everything they need to feel warm, secure, and happy. These materials will help ease my students into the classroom, have imaginary play, learn how to socialize with others, and be kids! They deserve to have a carefree, fun, and learning enriched school year!
