My Students

Being a kindergarten teacher to an amazing group of scholars makes me feel like I have won the lottery each and every day. If I had to describe them using just two words, it would be; spontaneous and courageous. One may think that because they are only 5 and 6 years old, they are just babies. But I am here to tell you that my kindergarteners are more than just their parents' little babies. We like to call ourselves superheroes. Determined.....dedicated...... and strong! With a splash of cuteness and giggles.

My Project

Remote teaching and learning has presented many challenges this school year for me. As a teacher in an intergrated co-teaching classroom, I know many of my scholars require 1:1 or small group support. One major thing remote learning has taught me is that I could really use a pair of Apple AirPods for one of my students during live instruction. My five-year-old special education students struggle to hear during our live meets. This should not be the case. These noise-canceling wireless headphones would enable me to move freely during live instruction and help my students hear words/sounds more clearly. This will allow my students to be more engaged and confident when asking and answering questions.
