This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Elite high school ultimate teams around the country will send dozens of their players to training camps this summer. Our team in inner city Chicago wants to be one of those elite teams. Give my players the summer of a lifetime to go work and train with the best ultimate players in the country.

My students began as a first year ultimate team in 2011 with no experience.

There were only one or two who had even touched a Frisbee before, let alone played the sport. Now, a year later having committed thousands of collective hours of practice and training our team is in first place in the Chicago Ultimate high school league. But 1st place in the city league isn't good enough - they want to be great. My students want to play against the best high school programs in the country - and win. The only way to improve is to send some of our players to elite level training camps like Chicago Ultimate Training.

My Project

Our students will attend a week long overnight training camp where they will live and play with other high school students from around the country. They will receive instruction from some of the best players in the game. Campers will be staying in the dorms of a suburban Chicago college in Illinois alongside other students from around the country from private and public high schools. This college is located in the heart of a beautiful small town. Meals will be served by the dining services of the college campus. It will be dorm buffet food. Additionally players will receive VC SUBLIMATED jersey, VC white jersey, VC shorts, a CUT regulation 175g disc, three meals a day and overnight accommodations.

No one expects a public school from inner city Chicago to compete at the highest levels of ultimate Frisbee.

Our story is improbable, my students are incredible - you can make this possible.
