Teach a student to fish and you will feed them for the rest of their life. KES is a title 1 school in East Los Angeles. This community is a colorful community full of daily adventures. Families work hard in order to maintain their family. Often times, our students do not get the opportunity to explore what is beyond community they are growing up in. Popularly described as a concrete jungle. We would love our students to experience what it is like to sit and fish. We want to start an after school fishing club for our students. This would also mean teaching students how to be patient as well as experience the present. It would be absolutely wonderful if you could support us with purchasing fishing rods for our fishing club.
