Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are wonderful third graders that attend a title 1 school in Queens, NY. My class is mainly made up of ENL students that are struggling in reading, writing and math.

My third graders need a table where they can work in small groups with their teacher and peers with limited distraction from the rest of the class.

In our classroom, my students are constantly working hard and eager to learn. We are always working in small groups at the carpet or at their desks, but it is hard for some students to stay on task and focus on the work they are doing.

I want to make the classroom the best environment possible where my students can express themselves creatively and be exposed to all sorts of learning experiences.

My Project

A kidney table would be a great way for my students to receive concentrated instruction with limited distraction. This table will allow me proximity to my students all while teaching a lesson based on the groups needs. Kidney tables are great for small group learning and would allow my students to make connections and progress towards their goals. My students would be more focused and able to work both with me and their peers. A kidney table would be a wonderful way for my students to learn and accomplish small group and individual tasks. Please donate a kidney table to our classroom!
