My Project
As a female educator, I have noticed the need to create a safe space for girls to be supported and empowered. I am creating a club called "Girl Talk" that aims to be a safe space, help the school, and create a strong bond of sisterhood among the group members.
The bracelets will be the first community bonding activity.
Girls will get together to make unique Girl Talk bracelets that signify their bond. The hot chocolate, tea, honey, creamer, and cups will be available for the girls to enjoy during the meetings. The snacks will also be a special treat for them as it will be after school. I want to create a safe space for my students to feel welcomed, accepted, and cared for.
