Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students from my school live in one of the poorest districts in the country, the Bronx, NY. Many of our students view coming to this public school as a way to escape their day to day struggles. We try our best to provide students with access to diverse, fun learning programs, but with major budget cuts, we can not afford certain supplies to keep us going. It has become increasingly difficult to offer character building education services to our large population of students. The guidance team is working on our college and career planning atmosphere for the students. We want to inspire them to start planning for their future

My Project

It is up to us to help encourage and support them to reach their goals for graduation. These tokens of support will be set to their homes to motivate them and remind them they are not in this alone. They have worked hard and deserve the diploma.

We are finding ways to encourage the students especially the graduating seniors.

This year looks like something we have never seen before. Care packages have become essential to stay in touch. We are bringing smiles to their door steps and that kindness goes a long way.
