Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After a year of distance learning, I want to make sure that my students' motivation continues to be positive. Reflecting on ending the year strong, I want to encourage them to participate and stay engaged in class at the highest level. There were many learning losses but I want to close the gap by providing incentives for hard work so they can try their best during Statewide and End of Year Testing.

I feel that Amazon gift cards as incentives will allow the students to be rewarded for doing the right thing based on their contract and they can purchase things that they need will encourage them to be their best.

Regardless if they purchase school supplies, clothing items, or food items it will be up to them. The Amazon Gift Cards will give them the opportunity to freely purchase items and have the items sent to their house. I'm very interested to see how much different gift cards can make for motivating underperforming students to rise to the occasion and push themselves harder.
