My Students

We are just beginning a journey to make drastic updates to our school's auditorium and create a fully functioning recording studio. My students need up to date equipment to be prepared for real world situations and employment after high school.

The students at my school learn through solving real world, hands on scenarios.

Our concerts, musicals and assemblies are all run by student technicians. Through the process of designing a sound mix or lighting design they are getting an authentic experience in the field of live production. We are also building a recording studio to enhance these types of opportunities. The students at my school are tenacious and extremely hardworking. Being an underfunded public school they are used to fighting the odds and working with equipment that is either out of date, broken or both. This must change!

My Project

This compression unit is a huge step into modernizing our studio and our performance space. For the student technicians it is a tool that is widely used in the professional world and will help them better understand modern sound design. For the performing arts students it will enhance the quality of their efforts by allowing all voice types to be heard clearly during performance. This compressor will open the door for my students to advanced sound design and let them start to dabble in the real "art" of audio engineering.

By donating to this project you will be impacting not only our current students but generations to come.

You will also be helping to make a difference in our community as a whole. Thousands of students, parents and community members will benefit from the enhancements this unit will bring. With this compressor my students will have a leg up in the world when it comes to designing and understanding sound.
