This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students, enrolled in a District 7 high school—one of the historically lowest-performing districts in New York City—are incredibly resilient. Despite their diverse backgrounds, they persevere and strive for success. As 9th graders, we are continuing to build our relationships while I guide and motivate them along the way. They are worthy of admiration as we journey through our final semester as 9th graders and move along to the end of the school year. We will endeavor to finish strong and leave with a solid mentality for our return as 10th graders
