Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a 5th-grade class. This year we are starting virtually using google classroom which is new to me and my students. This year I will not be able to meet my students personally and teach them face to face. Also, the teacher laptop I have is not reliable and can stop functioning anytime. The school district I work in serves a high population of low-income students.

The end of the year will be a great challenge for both my students and me.

I know that my students are eager to learn and be challenged in a virtual setting. I want to make sure I am ready every day to give them a great learning experience.

My Project

The materials I am requesting for my students are to help them with their learning and at the same time help me deliver virtual lessons to help them learn virtually. These resources will make it easier for them to understand and work on fifth-grade material. These materials are already designed to be used with the online program we are using to deliver the lessons and for students to work online and turn in their work easily. Students will feel confident using these resources and will find them easy to manage from home.
