Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the pleasure of working in the BEST School in our country. This year I have 18 beautiful Pre-K students. My students are creative, eager to learn and full of excitement. They love hands-on activities that engage their creativity and quest for knowledge. They work hard every day to meet expectations, and they meet the challenge because of their passion and interest to​ learn about how and why things are. They have inspired me to go beyond any limits. My students are eager to take reading and math to the next level by integrating technology and literacy!

My Project

These flexible seating yoga chairs will allow my students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, my students can choose a location in the classroom that works for them. My students are choosing to work in a variety of centers in such as: at different tables, rug area or sitting / laying on the floor with a clipboard. When children feel comfortable they are able to learn. I notice a difference in students when they are given a choice in their seating. The laptop​ computers will be integrated into the classroom library and all other areas allowing students to work on a variety of programs that reinforce concepts learned in the classroom and beyond.
