This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to participate especially when they come to write on the whiteboard or even better in the smart-board. It helps to differentiate and highlight in different colors in figures especially while working in geometry(transformations). For instance, while answering the do now (NYS math exam questions) it helps them understanding corresponding side and draw the location of the new image and so it is easier for them to work on the smartboard with smartboard pens. Students will be required to identify and perform rotations, and describe a rotation on a coordinate plane algebraically. In addition, these items will provide the basic classroom setting for my students to know they are being timed and they are able to performed transformations in the coordinate grid(graph paper/printing paper) required for multiple fun mathematical activities such as creating emojis by applying transformations. Since it helps them employ transformation's rules and visually seeing the pre-image in comparison to the image. Also, by having a power point clicker, it tremendously assist with student behavior being that I no longer need to stand next to my laptop to keep presenting but instead circulate around the room to ensure every student is performing the transformations as shown on the presentations. Also, the cellphone cabinet addresses any distraction that students may possibly encounter as opposed to focusing on task. Lastly, the other items such as markers and erasers assist with student engagement being that they like to collaborate with each other specially when it is time to demonstrate what they know to other students in the whiteboard. Finally, the lavatino 5 desk organizer and the metal file folder organizer assists students to turn in and stored their work in an organize matter which assists them in preparation of tests.
