My Students

I work in a Title I School located in New York. Our population consists of minorities and low income families. Most come to school without the necessary materials to be successful and empowered learners. All students are eager to learn new and interesting things. Our goal is to prepare students for upper grades and become college ready individuals.

Our Elementary School serves students in grades K-5 and provides rigorous academics, a safe learning environment and without question, an amazing staff.

Due to these great efforts, our school is one of the top-performing schools in our district. We continue to thrive daily and push our students to their fullest potential.

My Project

This iPad will introduce my students to a new and artistic way of learning. Most of my students are visual learners and have difficulty with motivation to write. The apps that come with iPad will allow my students to be as creative as possible in a fun and engaging way.

The Department of Education is always telling us educators to meet our students where they are at and I strongly feel this new piece of modern technology will help!

Our school doesn't have many tools accessible for our students nor are they exposed to new technology because of the demographics.

Since we live in a world that constantly evolving, my students should be exposed to this technology.
