Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My children are my inspiration. They come from predominately immigrant Hispanic households. Immigrant families make their way from all over the world to come to the United States in search of opportunities, in search of growth, in search of a better future. It is my good fortune and given task to help these families and children prosper by giving them the necessary tools for success.

I feel it is my purpose to serve these students, allowing them every imaginable opportunity.

Having come from a Hispanic household myself, I realize the struggles my parents and grandparents underwent in order for my sister and myself to succeed. Now in the position as an educator, I would like to be that catalyst for these children and families. I want the students to feel that they were given every chance for success. I want them to feel supported in their educational pursuits, as well.

Luckily our school has the resources to support these students however, I would like to make my classroom a gateway for learning through the use of technology and books. I feel my students would benefit from the resources provided through these programs, and it would be a wonderful opportunity for them!

My Project

The purpose of this project is to start off the school year prepared to meet the needs of my students. My students have online Home Learning components on a daily basis, in addition to computer-based standardized assessments on a yearly basis. Unfortunately, some of my students do not have access to computers at home. I would like to provide them the tools necessary to succeed.

I want my students to feel as though they can conquer the world.

I want them to have access to every imaginable resource, and I would like to serve as a catalyst to their success.
